The mission of Sustainability X is to create a movement of concerned individuals that realize we must take action to stave off global warming. Sustainability X will show progress toward and offer proposed solutions for the climate change crisis, while at the same time present you with resources and people to contact for the sustainable causes worthy of your involvement.
My name is Kevin Cochran and I founded Sustainability X out of a desire to spread the latest news, technologies, and knowledge about combating climate change, as a way to inspire you to join me and others, and take action for a better future.
I became involved in sustainability in 1995 while working for InterNetwork Media and with Payson Stevens, a renown Earth-science professional and artist. Among other successful content, InterNetwork produced Arctic Data Interactive that demonstrated the impacts of global warming with visuals showing how sea level rise would flood coastal communities, including to the steps of the White House.
Currently, I am a principal of Management Resources and provide strategic consulting services to growing and established enterprises. I am the former Chief Operations Officer of GreenTraks, an energy and sustainability management company. GreenTraks helps organizations better manage their diverse energy and other resources, and runs customer engagement and educational programs.
I also serve on the Board of Directors for the Sustainability Management Association (SMA). SMA’s vision is to transform leadership through education, collaboration, and innovation. We are proud to serve the mission of accrediting professionals who will lead organizations for economic performance, environmental stewardship, and social responsibility.
